Some things you don't need until they leave you....

But THEN... they come back! A hiatus is supposed to END?!

Yes yes, the boys of Matchbox are back together again (minus Adam... ) and tina78, misspanther and I were lucky enough to score 5th row tickets to see them back in action at the Sears Centre last Friday night! I'm excited like you wouldn't believe. The show... was GREAT. A little sad to see them as a 4-some now, and a little odd to see Paul out in FRONT of the drum set (never knew he was so short!), but I"ll take 'em any way I can. The guys sounded great, and Rob, as usual, put his heart and soul into every song. They just put on such a great performance. I'm glad I finally got to see them up close & personal, so much so that I'm still on a bit of a concert high. I did pre-order the Live USB Wristband, and if I had only known I could pick it up RIGHT AFTER THE SHOW, I'd be listening to it right now. As it is, I guess I'll have to wait a week or so. I think I'll live. :)

Opening acts were Mute Math and Alanis Morisette. Mute Math was.... well let's just say they were...interesting. Ya, that sounds good. Their set ended with the lead singer flipping himself over his keyboard and the drummer throwing his drum off the stage. But that aside, they were pretty good! Good enough for me to think about buying their CD. So they know how to get people's attention... :)

Alanis was VERY good. Man, that girl can sing. Now if she'd just stop pacing so much when she performs, we'd be all good. She played all of our favorites, and even threw in her cover of "My Humps", which is always funny.

Now on to the pictures! (WARNING: There's a lot. I mean a LOT a lot. And sadly, I could have posted way more) But here they are for your viewing pleasure.

Ready for the show!

Mute Math
Yes, that's their drummer, standing on a drum, on top of a keyboard. He threw that other drum after that. I warned you.

Alanis Morisette
A couple of pretty pictures, I think. She sounded great.

It's just too easy to take LOTS of pictures of this one...
