I don't really have a response to Michael Jackson's death, but I will say that I don't look forward to how the mainstream media will focus on the scandals more than the art & entertainment he produced during his lifetime. Seriously, if you don't know, you need to know. This man has inspired people all over the world in numbers too high for me to fathom. He was like a one-man Beatle, for those of you who need a comparison. His influence was that profound.

And although I knew about Elvis dating Priscilla when she was underage and her desperately trying to look older with makeup to help abate the scandal, I agree with Ahmir that society-at large seems to forget that little detail about his legacy. That, and the fact that he died in a drug-induced haze next to a toilet in his bathroom. So color me surprised when jokers where saying that Elvis was "rolling over in his grave" when MJ married Elvis' daughter Lisa Marie. SMH
