Oh, baby

Yesterday morning Leigh's water broke. She thought she wet the bed. This was about 6:30ish.
When they finally realised it was her water breaking, and she started getting labour pains, then got her to the hospital, it was, about 9:30ish?

I got home around 1 something, and my mom says "Leigh's in the hospital, there's going to be a baby tonight!"
So yeah.. at around 2:30-3ish, my dad took me to the hospital(where Malcolm(of course), Aunt Michele, Nanny and Linda(Malcolm's mom)  were with Leigh). She was sleeping at the time, because they had given her an epidural. But the doctor that gave it to her didn't turn the thing on, so it wore off after about 2 hours, and she started feeling the pain again. At this time, I began feeling pains myself. Nanny started joking that they were sympathy pains. I didn't believe her at first. Even said "I don't feel sorry for her!" as a joke. Ish. But then I started to believe her, because everytime Leigh started moaning in pain, I started hurting. Then Leigh started breathing shirt quick breaths. And my heart started beating fast and I was breathing short quick breaths. The worst though, and most convincing that that's what my paind were, was when I started feeling my back hurt out of nowhere. Aunt Michele noticed, and only seconds later, we heard Leigh from her bed telling Malcolm "My back hurts". I was so surprised, and so was Aunt Michele. I had actually thought that when Leigh said that, that it was someone else asking me if my back hurt. It was odd.

We left to eat for a bit, and when they checked Leigh, around 6:30pm, she was still only about 2 cm dilated. When we went back, a nurse we'd been talking to said that when she was pregnant, she'd been at 4 cm, then in an hour she was at 7 cm, so that could happen with Leigh. We were all pretty much waiting outside the birthing center when we heard a nurse say something aobut calling Dr. Mercier(Leigh's doctor) and something about her being 7-8cm. That fast. So we waited. And waited. The doctor finally came and we waited more, while Malcolm was in the room with Leigh. Then we heard the nurse counting, and the time between each time was shorter, and we knew it was going to happen. Heard some of Leigh's moans and yells, which was amusing, and at 10:19pm, we heard the first cries of baby Connor Dylan Bennett. The nurse was taking him to the nursery so we got to see him a bit, but since he was 5 weeks early, they put him on oxygen to help him breathe better, but besides that, he was healthy and happy. And so cute.
So.. this entry is for Leigh and Malcolm(even though they don't read this), and
