Kelly I am really sorry that this happened and I know its going to be hard to understand why he would do something like this. I dont know his situation and Im not going to pretend that I know anything about him because I dont. I do know however that when someone takes thier own life its because they have gone through so much that they cant handle it anymore. You shouldnt feel guilt about losing touch with him. It wasnt your fault that this happened. You probably couldnt have stopped it either if you had still been close to him. Like you said he had a lot of friends and he will be missed by all of them. It obviously was something deeper then a lost friendship that caused this. The only advice I have for you right now is that probably nothing you could have done would have changed this so dont dwell on it. Try to remember the good times you had with him and how good he made you feel. The greatest service you can pay to a departed friend is to never forget the good they made you feel. As long as you always remember him he will always be a part of you. And dont worry that you arent crying for him. Some things affect us differently. You will cry, but give it time. Just give it time.
