Need a brainstorming session or anything? I had that problem with book 3, and today the knot untied itself in a TOTALLY different direction to what I'd planned. Good direction, though. I'm ready to finish this thing.

It usually helps me to take all the various plot threads, work out the most logical (and usually most difficult) conclusion, and go from there. Can wreak havoc on a nice, neat ending, but messy endings are more fun.

The man-thingie has been trying to be supportive and helpful, and gods bless him for trying... But I think he's getting a little frustrated with my muse painting me into a box.

Yeah, well, I need to remember that... but I was trying to use it as a collaborative writing tool and THAT didn't work as much as hoped for. :(

Sorry, was probably talking to Dad about taking care of Uri. He's going to take the little girl to Street Cats for us tomorrow. I'm considering sleep anyway. Absolutely exhausted.

Ah. Yes... Sleep probably for the best.

Man-thingie just called and ordered me into my bed. Told me that the story would still be there tomorrow after I got back from the public defender appointment and that I could vent my unholy frustrations on my poor defenseless characters when I get back.

I told him I wouldn't be able to sleep because the computer would mock me with the pages I have left to write. The interminable blinking cursor of doom (tm).

He told me to "turn the fucking computer off". Then he made a kissy-noise in my ear and hung up.

*sigh* Men. lol
