Beads, pendants, and a tiny bowl:
The bowl is an inch and a half across, has three feet, and is totally silly. The silver marking on the purple pendant was added post-firing with a paint pen, after the glaze pattern all ran together.
Yet another spiral-carved bowl:
This one was coil built in light stoneware rather than molded in dark, and glazed in cheryl's blue-green (which looks
totally different on dark stoneware). It tried very hard to glue itself to the kiln shelf.
Another bowl with slip-trailed jags:
I was trying for yellow 'writing' on a blue background, but the persian blue glaze totally swamped the color of the yellow slip. Must try again with a different blue glaze (studio has lots).
And further proof of insanity:
Because how could I get sick of insanity? Plum matte was not the best glaze to choose for this, but the studio is discontinuing it, and I really wanted to glaze something in it before it was gone.
I have six things sitting at home waiting for me to carve or otherwise decorate them, which is a bit daunting. Last Sunday I made my first try at throwing a tea bowl in the shape of the nifty wooden bowl, and came ... sort of close, I think, though it's hard to tell how it'll look after it's trimmed.
