I'll start with the bad so that I can at least end on a good note. Got phone calls and letters on monday telling me that my insurance had denied all at once, my oxygen,my hospital bed, my wheelchair and my bath bench, all of which were on rentals and that if matters weren't resolved literally all of that would be taken from my house by the end of the week. I spent the day in frantic calls to my doctors office and thank the gods we got everything resolved. But it was hectic. I can't believe that people would threaten a disabled person like that. I -need- this medical equipment for my life and to keep going. It's ridiculous. As it is ridiculous that the insurance company would suddenly deny what they had been providing when the only thing that has changed with my health is that I've got diabetes now too. My little bit of weight loss is hardly putting a dent in the major issues I've got.
On the positive side, I've been doing lots more writing for Old Republic Radio and been posting things up. I don't get many comments on my work so it is hard to tell how it is being received. But the people I actually talk to say they like it. I hope it is, but it is so hard to be sure because... they are my friends, how much of it is a bias? I dunno. I'm hoping my new series on altaholism will help garner some more community input.
I've also started doing some recording with the podcast, doing my second SWTOR 101 this last weekend. For tohse who don't know SWTOR 101 is to help teach people who are new to MMO's and new to SWTOR about the game and game systems. It's a supplementary podcast to the main one. I think I'm getting a bit more relaxed in doing the actual podcasting and once I get a microphone stand to go with my condenser mic and pop filter I should be all good. Next goal is to somehow work on getting a better computer so I can do streaming/editing of short videos to go with the website.
