The last week
This has been one hell of a week. Last monday (not yesterday) I was sitting at my computer when one of the fan blades broke off and hit me in the head giving me a minor concussion and wrenching my neck. All in all -not- fun. had to go into the ER and get seen then head back home late in the evening, it was about midnight by the time I got home.
Then yesterday I got the packet for my hearing on my surgery and had just been looking it over when I decided to take a small nap because I hadn't slept well. I was expecting a call from my doctor so I grabbed my phone and started for my room. I ended up tripping over the luggage carrier my mother uses for groceries and falling to the ground. I tried to get up myself, but my cane was broken. I ended up having to call for help and once again went to the ER... and saw the same doctor who was wondering if my home was safe for me.
Nothing broken, just a lot of wrenched muscles and sprained ankle. So things were, chaos. But I got the call back from my doctor while I was at the ER and it turned out he wouldn't be able to attend the hearing because the person from his office I talked to forgot to -tell- him about the hearing. So this morning when I had the hearing I had to do it on my own. I was so nervous, but after a little bit I was reminded of my time doing Mock Trial in High School and calmed down. I'm not sure how things will go, I hope that the judge agrees with me, his decision is the one that matters. I think I got the person from the insurance company on my side. We'll see though.
