Tough Weekend

The weekend was really a tough one in my book. Kjwan just finished shooting the video for Daliri, which is our first single of the new album out on the 14th of August. We went to this shipyard in Navotas. Of course, we had to cross this flooded part of kalookan to get there. :S I was in the car with Jhoon and Jorian, and we must have given it a long ten minutes before realizing that we were needed in the shoot and therefor ... HAD to cross the overflowing sea!

The shoot itself was really tight! Marie and her crew did a great job. Kudos to Darwin for getting this amazing location. I saw some of the raw footage that our DOP took and the location came out beautifully. We had a little bit of luck along the way because the only day that it didnt rain the whole week was on the day of our shoot! I have a couple of photos and I'm just waiting for Jor to message me so i can figure out how to paste a picture here on LJ.

I hope this worked! haha! Anyway... that's a basic picture of what the shipyard looked like. Now imagine that during twilight and in the evening. We ended the shoot dead tired at around 4am and I was finally able to hit my bed at around 630 in the morning! Haay.

Kjwan played a couple of gigs also the next day. We did this goodyear event in La Pavilion and an on the spot one at Admit One. I personlly thought that the sound at the goodyear gig could have been better. We started the show and i could really feel the sound chaging in the middle of our songs. The one tough thing about going first is that sound techs usually soundcheck on you. I thought that was what happened to us. Anyway... the band played well though and the general feeling after the gig was good. We caught up with Admit One after the gig and Kjwan played a couple of songs after Sandwich. The one thing I really love about admit one is that the people who go are really appreciative of music. I'm not saying that everywhere else people don't do that but i feel it the most during gigs there. Anyway those guys are the best. They've really got this thing together and I think it's the best production in town. Ay. :)

Well that's it for now! KJWAN ALBUM ON AUGUST 14 check out sonymusic.ph as well! Peace and Love!
