Friday I got home and cooked spaghetti. I put a tinful of tuna and what was left of the quark with it and made myself a poroper meal for the first time since I finished the potatoes.

Saturday I went searching for sources, as is river sources. I positively identified three, with a possible on a fourth and one was down a steep hill through a forest where there was no path so I didn't go look for it. The first was a fountain-like affair, basically four pipes built into a wall with water coming out, and it tasted foul. Sulphurous and carbonated, like the green-bottled water I bought in Russia by mistake, in fact, it probably was about the same constitution. The second was dry but clearly visible, and the third took ages to find and I may have found the fourth which was close to it but they were both so close to the river flow it was difficult. I then went for a walk from the Hohenpark down through the Rosenstein Park (past the Wilhelma zoo, where there were very hot-looking bactrian camels) and to Mineralbäder, where there were lots of geese, lots of young moorhens croaking around, a crow with a bad foot and some MASSIVE ornamental carp. And three cygnets with a swan, but not the 7-cygnet family, because they were still on the Schlossgarten Lake and smaller. I got home, did some shopping and had schinkenwurst, sunflower-seed bread and tomato ketchup for dinner.

Sunday I went back to Stuttgart to use the Internet cos I forgot on Saturday, then got home, cooked noodle spaghetti soup, painted my horses for a while, then it got too dark at about 5:30 because a storm came over so I stopped, thinking it wouldn't be long before the sun was back out. I was wrong. The first storm, by the time I realised was being followed by another, had taken out the power so I couldn't put the lamp on and didn't want to open the fridge to get dinner in case the power would be off all night. It came back on after half an hour so I got dinner in case it went off again (it didn't). It eventually brightened enough at 8:30 so I finished the tails and hooves of my horses (which look suitably silly in black with yellow-ended white tails and bone hooves) which took me until 9:15 when I got ready for bed.

I keep finding it hard to go to sleep at night. It's fine once I'm alseep, but I must have a lot on my mind to stay awake like this so long. It's also a pleasure to paint properly-undercoated plastic models again. The last plastic models I painted were two dodgily-undercoated Rippers back when I was dealing with my Genestealers (who also had dodgily-undercoated arms). Makes me want to get actual Chaos stuff for my army, rather than the metal-filed special one it is currently planned to be... No, I'll stick with plastic Nids :) I have also decided not to use the Genestealer arms on my Dragon at all, but to cut the thumb and fifth finger off the existing hand to make it a more sensible size.

This week: I have an Intern Day to go to tomorrow, Matt graduates Wednesday, and Sunday I go back to Neuffen to go to the castle there. SBL is busy again, with some argument this time though (seems people don't like my probability approach, designed to keep storylines as flexible as possible) and Jess is back, with a fantastic simm and some good info on the Wiki. Jacques emailed me with some... news and as of tomorrow I've been here 100 days with 60 left to go.
