I forgot to mention the thing that made me want to post in the first place: As of this morning I am no longer overweight, as measured by both BMI and body fat percentage. 24.9 on both.
Also, I forgot to mention Galactic Civilizations 2. Picked it up, but I've been having trouble getting into it. I think part of it is how broad the tech tree is. Whereas Civilization has you go down a few narrow channels, Galactic Civilizations is like a bunch of broad trees. If everybody has comparable research rates in Civilization, they have comparable abilities in most fields... in Galactic Civilizations, I can completely ignore military if I so choose, while another guy completely specializes in it. It's like having the Olympics where one guy shows up with a bowling ball and another has a badminton racket. There's no way to have them meaningfully compete with each other.
