.. So I rarely post "stories" anymore.. or rundowns of my life.. or events.. unless its really, really good.. so prepare yourselves folks..
(**disclaimer for deneen: don't read if you want to ruin the "in person" version.. haha.)
OK so first off, last night me and Kait decided we would party hop today (today being 4th of July) after i shopped with my mom b/c we knew some people who were having parties..
so.. my mom woke me up at 8 am all pumped b/c she bought Toby Keith tickets for tonight at the tweeter center.. so i was like.. ok awesome. b/c im assuming the parties would of just been lame anyway (if they even happened/if kait even called.. which she didnt. haha.) and the people would of been lame (welcome to my life at home.. ) this way i could hang out with my mom and dad and drink for free on the parents. haha.
so me mom and dad get amazing seats on the lawn..(thanks to mom who RAN onto the lawn once the gates opened up.) we put our blanket down and im all content with my miller lite... but there was a tiny space in front of us right against the fence so we assumed we would get up when the concert started and stand there - we made friends with two couples next to us.. a state trooper and his fiancé and a guy who is a fire inspector for the state (my dad is the deputy state fire marshall.. so technically my dad is his boss.. and this guy was like.. all pumped to meet him calling him boss and stuff.. haha.) and his girlfriend (or who i thought was his g/f at the time) so we are chatting it up and these people are hilarious.. like.. these people are the coolest people..so we are all having a good time, drinking, etc. - and these obnoxious drunk guys just stand directly in front of us.. leaning against the fence..
so we ask them to move b/c we are gonna stand there when the concert starts - they get all lippy with us so my dad stands up (my dad is a huge guy - he’s like 6’3 - 6’4 - much taller then any of these guys.. ) so they get all disrespectful and drunk.. and you can tell its getting heated so I run up thinking these guys are my age, I can help, etc. so they are just being the biggest aholes… so one of the guys says something completely out of line to my mom and by this time the state trooper and this other guy have our back completely.. and this one guy just gets thisclose to my dads face.. all I remember is me screaming “get the f away from him” and smacking him in the face.. right after security took them out and everyone clapped and cheered for me. Haha...
I DO NOT CONDONE THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR, however, i am fiercly loyal to my family and friends.. and well, these guys were out of hand..and quite frankly, deserved it..
after that all night everyone kept calling me stretch Armstrong b/c I just kinda came out of nowhere.. the state trooper was like, “yo crazy hands, be careful I thought you were gonna rip out your earrings and really tear shit up” haha. oy.
but on a more serious note, i never realized how intense my temper can get..
or how intense my DADS temper can get.. anyway, i thought it was pretty redneck of us and pretty appropriate for the occasion. haha.
so after that we all drank and just had a great time and i was sort of the "celebrity" of the night, tons of high fives and jokes and what not..
so we all took the riverline back together…and we were in sooo much traffic (it runs a long the street) so we all just talked, etc. ( our group was the entertainment of the riverline.. let me tell you!) and apparently, joe, the guy who works with my dad is single (I have no idea who he was with) and they were all trying to set me up (me my mom and dad became instant friends with this group of people.. its like we knew each other for years) so joe goes ‘I CANT DATE MY BOSSES DAUGHTER’ haha.. and you know I would of macked it to him if I didn’t think he was MARRIED all night. haha. So we left but didn’t exchange numbers with any of them, although they all have my dads card. It was such an awesome night - like its so cool when that happens.. and they were such a fun/hilarious group of people...
it was a good concert, good people, good 4th of july overall.. minus the little squabble. and who would of thought the coolest people around would be mom, dad and some random fun strangers?
oy. this will be a night to remember my friends.
life is good. really. life is hilarious. i love it.
