The problem with a liberal view on income tax…..
Liberals believe that people who make more money should pay more in taxes so that people who don’t make a lot don’t have to pay as much. DUH! That is the entire idea of percentages. Ten percent of a large amount is more than ten percent of a small amount. So why then would we tax wealthier people a higher percentage? That’s asinine. Let me lay it out…..
(This is not based on actual income tax percentages, just a layout of the liberal concept)
Person A makes $50,000 per year
Person B makes $100,000 per year
If Person A and Person B are taxed ten percent
Person A pays $5,000 per year
Person B pays $10,000 per year
So, Person A makes half as much as Person B per year and pays half as much in income tax.
If Person A is taxed ten percent and Person B is taxed twenty percent
Person A pays $5,000 per year
Person B pays $20,000 per year
So now Person A makes half as much as Person B per year but Person B pays FOUR TIMES THE AMOUNT THAT PERSON A PAYS!
Ask yourself…. Does that seem fair?
