Sketchy...

So my first day was....interesting. Not bad. But not fabulous. Photography is first hour, and I'm SO glad because it's hands on, and creative, and interesting which is an excellent way to start the day (definitly a change from U.S. History first hour, which quite frankly should be banned). It's a small class, too, which I prefer. Then I have Women in Literature. I'm going to give it a chance, but it doesn't look too promising so far. We already have an essay due on Monday on the summer reading (which I didn't, um, exactly, *cough* do...), so I'm not holding too much hope for it to become a fun and easy class. Next is Algebra II. I sit next to Kelly (well relatively, considering my teacher stuck me in a corner by myself...), so hopefully we'll rebond or something, which would be nice. The teacher doesn't seem quite as crazy as Lippard, so hopefully it'll be better and not so aggravating. Though she did give us a hell of a lot of homework for the first day...Anywho, next is Drama I. I love love LOVE drama classes sooo much! They're so fun, and interactive, and cool! Well, besides the whole audition thing. I'm gonna try really hard to get out of it (I mean, there's only eight people in the whole play, and they have to dance. So there isn't even the slightest chance I could get in it), but I'm not gonna hold much hope considering all the groans Mrs. Smela got when she said we had to sing and dance, and the fact that she kept saying "You HAVE to audition! It is a REQUIREMENT!!". Oh well. And hey! Guess who's in my class?? Adam Rzadko!! Remember that kid?! I totally forgot he went to Brother Rice, let alone figure him for a drama kid. That was funny. So anyway, after Drama I have Grief and Loss. Talk about a depressing class. I kind of got stuck with it though. I signed up for Philosophy, but I guess not enough kids signed up or something, so they stuck me with Grief and Loss as my alternate. It's not so bad. Smich (Sr. Michele's nickname) is really cute, and she loves me, so it's all good. And there's a field trip in like, October, so that's cool. Then I have Chemistry, which I'm kind of excited for. I know, I'm a dork, but my career depends on it! Being a forensic scientist is like 60% chemistry, so if I don't like it, it's probably not a career I should go into. But we did a LOT of chemistry-ish lab stuff at that camp I went to, and I really liked that. So I'm hoping I'll like this. My last class is Creative Writing, which I'm really excited for. It's kind of my thing. My parents tell me I'm this great writer or whatever, but generally I don't really like to, like essays and stuff. But creative writing I am defenitly good at. I always feel confident with an assignment like that, so I figure the class is gonna be sweet. Today's class was really fun, though we didn't actually do anything, haha. The seniors had a meeting 7th hour, and they make up like half of my class, so the teacher didn't want to do anything that they would miss. So we feng-shued (sp?) her room, tehe. That happens a lot in an all-girls school. Rearranging furniture and all. We defenitley optimized her space, it was much better by the time we were done. I like to thing of it as class bonding, which is always nice.
Ok, I have to go do homework now. *gag*
And it's not like I have Gilmore Girls to look forward to or anything.... :(
