LONG update on the show.
Ahh where should I start? Hmm.. well my mom and I left Wenesday afternoon. We were going to stay two nights, but we realized we couldn't afford that. So.. we decided to stay that one night then drive home after the show. The ride there was fun. We listened to classic rock, and some old pop cd's of mine. We danced and just had a good time. We arrived in Richmond around 7pm. The arena was hard to find at first because it blended in with all the other buildings in the Downtown area. We drove around and finally found a nice cheap room at Comfort Inn. We unpacked, then decided to go out. We went to a little mall 4 miles down the road and just walked around there for a bit to see what they had. After the mall we went by the drug store then drove by the arena again.. to see if we could spot it this time. Which we did. We then had to turn around... so I turned down some road, but couldn't find anywhere to turn around.. so I kept going. I ended up passing by a hotel that had tour buses parked next to it. So that made up for getting lost. Haha. We parked by the buses for about 20-30 minutes just seeing if anyone would come out. Of course no one did. So we drove off finally finding the road our hotel was on. I was wanting to go to bed early so I could get up early the next day. So I took a nice long shower, and then for some reason I took a sip of the Starbucks Coffee that's in a bottle now. Just trying it out. Just that one sip kept me up till 4am. Gahhh. So instead of waking up around 7:30 as planned, we got up around 9am. Which was alright. I didn't think we would get up anyway. We got dressed and packed up and headed out. When we first drove by the arena no one was there so we went to the Drug store and got a few things. We came back around 11:30am and hung out. Ok.. skipping to a couple of hours later. We walked over to the tourbuses around 2:30. Some girl's dad was saving our spot for us which was awesome. So we stood out by the buses for a while, talking with security. Security at this show were REAL nice. I was expecting assholes.. telling us to leave. They didn't even do that. Anyways.. we saw Tony walk out of the bus. It was only me, this girl and her mom standing out there. So I think one of them called out Tony kind of low and he looked toward me and I motioned him to come over. I asked him how his back was. He told he that it was alright, but wish he could have more time off to stay off of it. I was on the phone with Christina at the time, but just didn't want to bother with him about anything. So I just got my picture tooken with him and walked off back to the line. I made a few buddies in line. I'm so happy I was surrounded by people closer to my age. Behind two girls there was a group of 10-12 year olds acting .. well you know how they act. The doors finally opened at 6:30. It was a PAIN getting in there. They seperated the boys and girls in the line. I had a lady examine me.. and then everyone that had the floor had to run over to some table to get their ticket Xed and get a wristband. People were shoving all over. I was about to scream because it was just crazy. I walked quickly down to the floor and got a spot on the left side in the front row. I saved a spot for my mom. She came down a couple of minutes later after rushing her way to the stage. Minutes later, my mom decided to go sit in the seats because she felt trapped. So I told the girls who were behind me to move up since they were wanting front row. I talked with them before the show started. Ok.. finally to the show. Damn, I feel like I'm writing a fucking book here. I'm just in one of those story telling moods I guess. Mest came out first. They put on an kick ass show. My favorite song's they performed were Hotel Room, and Cadillac. Benji didn't come out for Jaded, because GC weren't even at the arena yet. I guess they did arrive right when they performed their last song, Cadillac, because Chris came out and took EJ's place on guitar. Tony made me laugh a lot during their show, because he was making fun of the little girls there. One threw a piece of paper on stage saying she wants to have sex with him. He read it and told her that she'd have to fuck Nick first, then said he was kidding. He then said "Sorry I don't fuck girls under age." And threw the paper over his shoulder and started performing again. Then a little after that he mentioned the posters, saying that it isn't a NSYNC show. Haha. After Mest, Goldfinger came out and performed. I don't know any of their music, but their show was great. They got the crowd wild. Finally, GC came out. At first I wasn't.. really into it when they came out performing The Anthem. After that song they performed the Festival Song (I forgot what the performed all in order, but I think that was what they perfomed next), which.. is when I got more into it. Their show ended up being fucking awesome. It was one of the best show's I've seen this year. They performed all their songs from TYATH (adurr.. TYATH tour) and also a few of their older songs which I'm very glad they did. They performed Motivation, Festival Song, The Click, Little Things, Waldorf WorldWide, and I think another. So yeah.. great show. After the show I ran out of film. So I walked to the car with my mom and we drove closer to the buses and parked on the side of the road. I got my digital cam out of the trunk and walked over to see if I could meet anyone. Chris came out around 12. He's awesome. He took his time and kept convos going with most of the fans. Tony then came out. Which was funny.. because before he came to us... my mom came all the way from the car because she saw the top of his mohawk from where she was at. So I met Tony again, and got another picture taken with him. I then called Christina up.. thinking for sure Joel is going to come out. I told her I couldn't talk long, because my battery was almost dead and wanted to call her when Joel came out. Guess what? My phone died right when I was talking to her. I felt bad. I was really wanting to call her so she could talk to him, because she's done that for me with Chris and Nick. >=/ Billy, Paul, and Joel came out around 12:30. Billy was real sweet. At first, my camera wasn't working so he told me he'd come back to me and try again. Which he did 10 minutes later. I saw Nick and Matt come over with Chris. Nick had a video camera with him.. recording the crowd. Which was only about.. less than 40 kids. We tried calling Nick over earlier but he didn't hear us. I seemed to be the only one who wanted to call over Matt. Which I suck at calling people over, because I'm chicken shit. So this girl called him over for me. He came over all shivering saying it was cold. I then told him to try being outside for hours. He then told me to hold him. Which shocked me. I went "ok" and put my arms around him. :-[ Hmm.. Joel finally came over to us. He was quiet, but real patient and nice. The picture wouldn't take because my digital camera is slow. So I was.. talking during the picture saying "what the fuck is wrong with the camera". Joel laughed and said "there it goes." I then tried taking a picture for 2 other girls with him, but my dumb self didn't know how to work the flash. So I felt bad for fucking their pictures up. But they said it was alright. I looked at my digital camera and noticed a pic of both of them.. looking different was laughing.. and Joel looking at the camera. My mom had tooken one for them which was great. The picture is funny, because only Joel noticed my mom taking the picture. I think Paul was the last one I met. He was real sweet. Benji didn't come out because he wasn't feeling good. We finally left around 1:30am, and didn't get home till 4am that morning. Ok.. wow.. yeah that does it for my show. Sorry for filling up all of your friend's pages. :-x I've uploaded some pictures from the show. I will be putting them in my journal in a bit, after I take a shower and pick my dog up. I miss her. :(
