Popping in from Second Life
Hallo all, and thanks to my friends who enquired about me. I have been travelling the last few weeks rather a lot... and will continue to move about until I return to Finland on 7 January. I have been staying in Virginia with the newest addition to the family, Finn, taking care of him for a few months while he is an infant. I was supposed to go back to China at the end of February, but they just wrote to me to tell me that my post was made defunct due to lack of funds... I left all my personal effects and all my books and lecture notes in China in expectation of coming back, and also took a year's leave of absence from the university, so I am technically NOT unemployed and cannot claim unemployment benefits, but I will have no income ... so, everything is in flux and I have no idea what is going to happen to me. I will be going to the Seattle area in a few days to stay with my Second Life Partner until I go back to Finland. No idea what is going to happen there, either, although we hit it off as well IRL as in SL. Time will tell. I have made a New Year's Resolution to write in LJ at least once a month, but if you want to find me, go over to Second Life. That is where I live these days, spending some time almost every day there, no matter where I find myself in the so-called Real world. All is Maya... I hope to post a photo of Finn in the gallery soon...and to read my friend's list posts and comment. Right now, off to the beach here in Florida.
