Apparently it required a live rendition of Babylon complete with David Gray yelling "You'd better sing for Christ's sake!"* and the entirety of Constitution Hall singing along to make the idea faucet turn on in my head and the angle and thesis for my grad school essay to come pouring forth!
No more writer's block! I have about half of it drafted out, with a thesis, which means that I am past the point of writer's block. Now I can fuss and fuss and fuss a little more over the details. This is one of my longest bouts with The Block. I usually just give up or unjar myself much more easily. If I get into grad school I promise to write David Gray a fan letter and let him know about his special skills.
