That's such a wonderful chapter, so lovely and caring. Jim and Bones talk about their feelings for each other and their trust in each other. Jim's family is very nice and sweet. The talk Bones had with Jim's mom is also very tender and caring, especially when he tell Win, that he'll ever look for Jim and take care of him. And that Jim feels settled for the first time in his life. Hope next chapter comes soon.

Thanks! I had a difficult time with this chapter--it was stuff that needed to happen, plot and character development-wise, but family and original characters aren't my strong suit, so I'm glad to hear it worked. Up next: more fire and rescue action!

They are so sweet toghether. I like that they are so grown up, talking about feelings and all :) and what a lovely family Jim has! Don't know if I'm more impressed by Bones knowing a pancake recipie or Jim having the ingredients at home ;)

I like to portray the characters as grown-ups, even though Jim certainly has his childish moments. Okay, a lot of them. And these two are so cute together I practically make myself vomit sometimes, LOL! Up next, though, is more fire and rescue drama!

I don't usually read chapter fics before all the chapters are posted. I was intrigued by the premise of this, and hooked when I read the first chapter. Now, I am a rabid addict and squeal like a thirteen year old when I see you posted a new chapter. I've intended to comment with every chapter, and always get caught up in life and forget. Thanks so much for sharing this story. It's got plot, excellent characterization, mouth-watering details, humor, drama, all the things that make a wonderful, gripping story. Keep up the great work!! :D

The next chapter is actually almost done, and will be more fire/rescue drama. And angst. There's always angst. :)

Thanks! Glad you liked it. I needed to introduce the Kirk clan for dramatic reasons (insert drum roll here), but it wasn't my favorite kind of thing to write. So I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Loved it! So glad to see another chapter. Can't wait to see them in Georgia. I'm with Jim - Bones needs to get some closure with Joss. And I like the idea of all the angst and drama that will produce.
