Yes! Depending on what your definition of "soon" is. On a cosmological scale, it will be practically instant. For a mayfly, it may be another lifetime or two...
Fantastic chapter, that thing with the backdraft, whoaaa. Jim who scared the living hell out of Bones, because he thought he was dead and then the end, you rock my day, hope for the next chapter.
Glad you liked it! Youtube will be happy to show you many backdrafts (though because a lot of people don't understand it well, some of what they show isn't really backdraft. Still scary though!)
I liked the way you described Bones fear and reaction to Jim getting hurt. It was nice seeing that Jim got it and let Bones take care of him. Lovely chapter!
OMG! My heart felt like it stopped when Jim was thrown and we didn't know if it was him who was hurt or not! I loved what Bones needed to do in order to let go of the day, and the fact that Jim knew Bones needed it and went right along with it made it just that much more fantastic.
“Love you, Bones. Really love you.”
Len’s own breathing stopped, just for a moment, until he recalled how important respiration was.
“Love you too, Jim.”
*SQUEE* I am so emotionally invested in your characters right now that if one of them gets hurt, it will be hard to deal with.
Can't wait for more.

PS The fire information with each chapter is a serendipitous delight.
I'm glad the anxiety of the anonymity in the backdraft scene worked. Since I knew who was who, of course, I couldn't tell if it was working for those who didn't know, so yay! Glad you like the fire info. Youtube will be happy to provide you with a cornucopia of videos of each of these phenomena.
First off - so that's how girl firefighters pee. One of the questions I never thought to ask, but now I know. Thanks!
Lovely chapter. Poor Bones. I love the idea of him needing to take care of Jim - more than usual - after what happened. And the fact that Jim got it; what Bones needed and why.
The image of a drop of water falling down Jim's sooty, dirty neck just won't leave my mind. I mean - gah! Wonderful description.
I love answering the questions people didn't even know they had! Glad you liked the water droplet. That just kind of ... happened. More soon, especially if I can avoid 8,000 word chapters. BUt that's just how they come!
Avoid 8,000 chapters! Bite your tongue! (I suppose the fanfic equivalent would be 'smash your fingers') I love long chapters! If it takes a bit longer than I guess I can handle it. Honest. You gotta go where the story takes you, right?
