A/N Okay, so my muse is all over the place with my other stories at the moment, after watching the deleted scenes she got a little inspired to write some fluff… which is strange considering I’m in the worst mood ever! So hope you enjoy some randomness from my muse. Also wrote this in just over an hour, so hopeful its not too shit. :)

Callie sits curled up on the couch watching TV. It’d been two days since the hospital shooting, she hadn’t had much alone time, or time to relax since the incident. The hospital was in absolute chaos. Some of the wards that were most affected by the shooting were closed down and had be tapped off by the police the time being. Most of the patients were transferred out to nearby hospitals.

The Peds ward however was thankfully one of the least affected areas of the hospital, so it remained open. Callie had spent most of the last two days there with Arizona, helping out anywhere she could. Secretly she just wanted to spend every second with her blonde that she could. They’d be broken up a month and that was too long to be apart in her opinion.

The door opened and Callie looked over her shoulder to greet whoever was entering. A massive grin spread across her lips when she saw Arizona walk in and over to her. She leaned over the couch and gave Callie a soft tender kiss.

“Hey Beautiful.” Arizona greets, taking her jacket off and hanging it over the back of the couch.

“Hey.” Callie greets excitedly in reply. “I thought you were going to be at the hospital till late again?” Callie asks looking at her watch, seeing that it was only seven.

“I was.” Arizona says walking around the couch and taking a seat next to Callie. “But I was sitting in my office and started thinking about you, here, all alone. It seemed like a better place to be then in my office doing paper work. Plus I told the nurses to page if they need anything, which they shouldn’t.” Arizona adds.

“This is definitely the better place for you to be.” Callie replies, wrapping an arm around Arizona and pulling her close, the blonde snuggles into Callie’s side.

“I missed you.” Arizona murmurs against Callie shoulder.

“I only left the hospital a few hours again Ari.” Callie says looking down at Arizona, kissing the top of her head.

“Yes, and in those few hours I missed your smile, your touch, your voice---“ Arizona starts to laugh hysterically, as memories of Callie singing Lady Marmalade to Ruby hit her.

“Are you okay?” Callie asks her blonde, absolutely confused by her outburst.

“I’m just thinking back to how you sang Lady Marmalade to Ruby.” Arizona explains between giggles.

“It’s the only song I could think of the lyrics to off the top of my head. I was kind of put on the spot. But it worked didn’t it?” Callie says defending her decision.

“Yes it worked. And I’m really glad it did, I’m even more glad Ruby didn’t know French.” Arizona jokes, leaning up and placing a chaste kiss on Callie’s lips. “Which reminds me, I got you a gift. Well I borrowed something from the Ped’s playroom for you.” Arizona tells Callie, standing up and walking over to her bag that she’d placed next to the door when she entered.

“Arizona what did you steal?” Callie asks curiously, turning to face the direction she walked in.

“I borrowed, not stole. We will return it once we’ve finished with it.” Arizona replies, rummaging through her bag for the item.

“And what sort of gift has to be returned?” Callie jokes. “It better not be another Disney movie Ari. I think I’ve watched every Disney movie made!” Callie complains, secretly she loves curling up in bed or on the couch and watching a good Disney film with her girl, well really she just loves watching how excited Arizona gets during the movie.

“It’s not a movie. And I know you like those Disney films Callie, so don’t try complaining.” Arizona teases, looking up and winking at Callie. She finally finds what she’s looking for shoved in-between some paperwork she’d brought home.

“For the record. I don’t like Disney films per say. I like watching you watch them.” Callie corrects, trying her best to maintain her badass reputation.

“If you say so.” Arizona replies, walking around and sitting back down next to Callie. She holds out the object to Callie. Callie takes a second to look at it before taking it from Arizona.

“A CD?” Callie asks confused before looking at the title.

“It’s not just any CD Calliope.” Arizona replies smirking.

“Nursery Rhymes” Callie reads out loud, her head snaps up, she look at Arizona who is now laughing at Callie’s confused look.

“Yes, because there is no way in hell that you’ll be singing Lady Marmalade to our kids. So you better start learning some new material.” Arizona explains, looking Callie straight in the eyes. This is the first time either of them have mentioned children since the ambulance bay. They’ve been more interested in reconnecting on a physical level, over the last two days. Arizona knows that they really should’ve talked before they reconnected but they just couldn’t help themselves, she just needed to feel Callie, be with her intimately again after not being able to for so long.

“Our kids.” Callie repeats Arizona’s words, a small smile spreading across her lips at the thought.

“Yes, our kids, Calliope… One day, I’m not saying, tomorrow lets go get pregnant or next month or even next year. But I meant what I said Calliope. Life is too short, and I want everything with you. I’m all in kids and all. No matter how scared I am about it, as long as I have you by my side. That’s all that matters.” Arizona tells her, taking Callie’s hand in hers and rubbing small circles with her thumb soothingly on Callie’s palm.

“I love you.” Callie says, not sure she’d be able to find the right words to explain to Arizona how happy she is.

“I love you too Calliope.” Arizona replies, leaning in and places a gentle kiss on Callie’s lips.

“You stole a Nursery Rhymes CD from your ped’s playroom.” Callie whispers.

“Borrowed.” Arizona corrects.

“Borrowed then, what made you do it?” Callie asks, looking into Arizona’s blue eyes.

“I was sitting in my office, going over the events of the other day, and I remembered how amazing you were with Ruby. I don’t know if I would’ve been able to do what I did without you by my side. And then I had a little laugh at the song you sang, and the next thing, I’m standing in front of the CD stand in the kid’s playroom looking for an appropriate CD.” Arizona explains, snuggling back into Callie side.

“It’s a great gift Ari, if I can even call it a gift since it has to be returned.” Callie whispers, lightly poking her softly in the ribs.

“It was a spur of the moment thing, I would’ve gone to the shops and bought you a hundred nursery rhymes CD’s if I had time.” Arizona tells Callie honestly, placing a soft kiss on Callie’s cheek.

“Well, I will start learning some new songs tomorrow.” Callie jokes, placing the CD on the coffee table.

“Sounds good, now can we watch a movie?” Arizona asks excitedly. She already knows what one she wants to watch.

“I want to say no because I know you want to watch a Disney film, but right now I can’t say no to you. So okay, I’ll make the popcorn, you put the little mermaid in.” Callie replies, pretending to sigh as she gets up and walks into the kitchen to get the popcorn.

“I never said I wanted to watch the little mermaid, Calliope.” Arizona yells in reply over her shoulder.

“So we’re watching Aladdin?” Callie shouts back, knowing those two are her favorite.

“No, it’s the little mermaid.” Arizona laughs in reply. “But don’t assume, next time I might actually surprise you.”

“Knew it!” Callie exclaims. “Next time I get to choose, and we’re watching a horror.”

“Shut up and hurry up with that popcorn.” Arizona teases, having put the movie in the dvd player, she’s now snuggled under a blanket she’d quickly retrieved from their bedroom.

Callie walks back over to Arizona with two glasses and a bottle of wine, she places them on the table, leans over giving Arizona quick kiss before heading back to collect the popcorn from the microwave.

“I heard from Ruby’s parents just before I came over.” Arizona tells Callie, pouring them both a glass of wine.

“How is she?” Callie asks, as she walks over holding the bowl of popcorn, taking a seat next to Arizona under the blanket.

“Her mom said she’s doing amazingly well and the doctors are impressed with how her recovery is going and hopefully she’ll be able to go home in the next few days.” Arizona says, resting her head on Callie’s shoulder.

“That’s good. You were great during that surgery. So many things could’ve gone wrong and you stayed calm and just did what you had to. You are amazing.” Callie declares.

“As I said, I don’t think I could’ve done it if you weren’t there to help. You were able to keep Ruby calm and myself calm when we need it, you were my ‘strong man in a storm’. To me that makes you amazing.” Arizona admits, kissing Callie passionately, showing her everything she feels for her in that one kiss. “Now let’s watch this film, before I take you to bed and show you how amazing I really can be.” Arizona whispers, winking at Callie as she presses the play button on the remote.

Callie smiles and settles back into a comfortable position with Arizona nestled in her arms, she smiles as she watches Arizona’s face light up as the movie starts to play, she couldn’t think of a more perfect way to end her day then here at home, with the love of her life.
