The vet took the necessary X-rays, and gave us the best possible chance he had. At the very least, $2000 of vet bills not including the $700 hardware to fix his leg. It was his right hind leg, 3.5 centimeters below the hock, and it broke through all of the bones there. The vet gave us a 20% success rate, and even then we think he bumped it up a bit to try and make the hurt not so bad. We paid $500 for him, and $2700 vet bills to start off with right after going to MFM just wasn't feasible.
