The twin boys had been quite easy to handle as babies, but soon the toddler-years would begin.

There were always things to do in our house; the boys needed looking after and Matthew needed care too.
Simon had finally been able to start working as a police. He'd always wanted to, but there hadn't been any station here in Chesterstead until recently. But even if he loved his job, he told me the best time of his day was to come home and hug his boys.
I had taken over my father-in-law's store. He said I should keep it as long as I enjoyed it.
It was difficult, but also a lot of fun!
Soon we realised we were to have another baby!
Sadly, one day it was Mathew's time to go. He'd been an old dog when we got him and he'd lived a long and happy life.
I was growing and growing and we realised this wasn't just one baby! It was probably two but we wouldn't know, Chesterstead doesn't have a hospital.
We bought two kittens: Terror and Blixt! They are so cute!
And suddenly, even more time had passed and it was time for our little ones to grow up!
Eivin was looking forward to starting school!
Einar was more excited about making friends.
We built a second floor. It held a skilling room and what I hoped would one day be my own little store. I want to sell clothes, but I'm not good enough yet at sewing to actually produce any good ones.
After having looked after them for so long, it was quite fun to see the boys manage fine on their own.
And suddenly, the wait for the new babies were over.
But... I was quite shocked at how many they were. It wasn't just two!

Four! We had four little girls! My "future store" was quickly re-made into a huge nursery.
While me and Simon spent the days and evenings taking care of the girls, our boys were busy playing with their friends. It was a lot of fun to notice that Eivin and his cousin Stina got along so well! And Anya McNulty is such a sweetheart.
They boys did understand that the babies took up a lot of our time, but we did try to have some alone time with them too.
Ann-Sofie has my hair, but her father's eyes.
As do Maj-Lis
Inga-Lill has my eyes, but Simon's hair. I also think she reminds me more of Simon as a child.
Marie-Louise has my hair and my eyes.
We had to put a bathtub in their playroom; there was no way we'd be able to go down two stairs to wash them! Imagine doing that four times!
During the days I am home alone with the girls. It's difficult, but luckily Simon gets home around three and can help me during the evenings. It's a lot of work with four toddlers, but also a lot of fun!
Notes
- Oh. My. God. I was so shocked when I got FOUR babies! I always chose "random" number of children, but this family sure has been "blessed" with twins so I figured it shouldn't be that many this time. Well, I was stupid enough to wish for a girl, so here I am with four of them!
