Hi everyone! I'm Erik, and this is my little garden. I'm a stay-at-home dad, so I try to keep it neat in between looking after my two litle daughters.
There's Ellie and then Fiona.
My husband, Askold. We met a few years back, when I was still a teenager, and have now been married for a few years.
Yes, I got pregnant again. I know Askold thought it might be a little too much, too soon, but he is happy about it. He knows I love to have a big family, and since we live with my mother and my aunt, who are still working, we will get enough money for em to stay at home with all the children.
One day my cousin, Eskil, came by.
My aunt, Siri, was very happy to see him. He is now a father, and I've been trying to visit them as often as I can.
I was very happy he could be there for my girls' birthday. It might sometimes look like a mess at our place, but he's family so I didn't feel the pressure to clean up and be presentable. I often lounge around in my pyjama all day now anyways, with the big belly and all.
We tried to find time to teach them to talk and to walk, potty training wasn't very hard, luckily.
My little girls loved to be out in the swimming pool!
Mother has always wanted a dog, so we adopted two! Tim and Tina. They can be hard work sometimes, but the girls really love them.
As mother Sofia and aunt Siri became elders, my mother had a bit of a breakdown. She had really wanted to have gotten further in her career.
Fiona and Tina are best friends!
As my mother came home one day and had finally become Mayor...
... it was time for me to give birth to two boys!
Lee
and Homer!
Askold got this idea he wanted to get fit. I always tell him I find him beautiful as he is!
When I have time, I too try to skill up on something. I'm currently trying to become a better cook. There are 8 people to feed now!
Well, the chopper is a bit loud, but I have to say I am proud of my mother!
And before I knew it, it was my little girl's birthday again!
I think you can tell they're twins ;)
Fiona has always enjoyed purple and pink,
but Ellie said blue was her favourite colour. Who am I to deny them? They still want to match, though.
Well, mother was the one who wanted the dogs the most, but she isn't a fan of washing them. She smells of wet dog for quite some time afterwards.
I love that Ellie and Fi get along som well, they only ever fight when they've played too much and are tired. And they were so excited about school!
It was nice to be alone in the house for a few hours with the boys.
They'd made friends really quickly, and for the whole evening just played and played. I wasn't surprised that they crashed once they got to bed.
Lee and Homer grew up, and just liek their sisters loves the blocks and the rabbit. Homer can't stop playing with that pink toy, and often gets a little angry with me when I take him away from it and put him in bed.
I didn't mean to see it, but I must say I was surprised seeing aunt Siri kiss a co-worker. Neither mum nor aunt have dated anyone since before me and Eskil were born (that we know of, of course). I know my other parent was named Tina; she was a class mate of mother's and I would've gotten to know her hadn't it been for the earth quake that destroyed the town I was born in.
I decided to take the girls skating one Sunday, just to have some alone tiem with them. I'm otherwise always consumed with looking after their younger brothers.
We had a fantastic day, and it was so much fun seeing my cousin Miral's daughter Kristina there; she, Ellie and Fi always like to play. (She isn't really my cousin: she's my Mother's half-sister's wife's child from before they were married, but she sees Miral, Q and Bra'tac as her children too, and I see them as cousins)
Aunt and Askold can really get into loud conversations sometimes, but I had a suspicion about that, seeing as they both can feel very strongly about things.
I've tried to tell Ellie not to do that with her grandmother's things, but she finds it so ilarious (and Fi always laughs at her, so she isn't helping).
I do hope Askold won't have to work as much as he does now later on in his career. He's said that eh too would liek to be home more with the kids, and I hope he'll get the chance. They are fantastic to spend the day with!
