Kame smiled bitterly with a paper in his hand, the schedule of Shounen Club for that night. He was informed that the song he would perform was Kizuna, the song that contained a heavy memory of that person. He knew about it already from past few days and he thought he would be okay, he knew he would! But something was out of the hand, he had no idea why that person kept haunting him even from the first second he opened his eyes that morning, while the sun shone its glory, radiating through the window of his bedroom. Even he couldn’t help not to cry when he stumbled upon the long lost CD that person ever bought him. He acknowledged that he would be a guest in Shounen Club that night, it would be horrible if he came with swollen eyes. But it wasn’t his fault, he didn’t ask his mind to replay every single moment he experienced with him. He didn’t ask that CD to suddenly appear under his foot. But out of the whole year, why should that day?

The staff-san called his name in a polite manner, summoning him back to the reality. The man asked him to contrive himself for the next performance. Flashing a faint smile to him as the only response could give, he dragged his feet to the spot he was told, attempting to find the right tune of his voice. Readying himself, he began to sing the lyrics.

“Ippo zutsu de ii sa… kono te wo hanasazuni… tomo ni ayunda hibi ga… ikitsuzuketeru kara...” he sang slowly, along with the scream of the fans.

“Damn it!” his mind cursed as those past memories began to appear, flashing like the light. He lifted his head upward in order to suppress the tears, closing his eyes while his mind started to wander far away, to the days when he was still on his side...

The guitarist of Questions started to play the music, and he stepped into the center of the stage.  Following the music, he once again sang that memorable song as his mind got stuffed with all things he ever shared with him. Everything was still so fresh as if it just happened moments ago, all memories of him with his beloved one.

“This is bad…” he mentally spoke, noticing how his voice a bit shaken. Whenever he felt the tears welling up his eyes, he would blink for numerous times, gazing upwards to the shimmering lights of the stage, or simply he would turn around letting the camera shoot his back.

“This is nearing the end…” he lifted his hand right before his eyes, showing his pinkie while singing the last words “…kienai kono kizuna…” And he realized something, his hand was trembling. Moving the microphone to another hand, swiftly he turned around to end the performance.

“Well, I hope this will reach you, Jin…” Kame rested his hand on his back, putting the gesture Jin ever made in one of their PV, Love Yourself to be exact. This wasn’t the first time he did that, but it might the first time he did while singing this song, their song, Kizuna…

. . .

Kame petrified as he just arrived at home, a quite tall man stood there right before his eyes. A very familiar man who was dressed in a black, long robe.

“Yo!” he greeted simply, smiling a bit. A dead silence filled the air until finally Kame blinked his eyes, regaining his consciousness.

“What took you here?” Kame asked curtly as he passed that man, pulling out the key from his pocket and inserting it into the keyhole. Grabbing on the doorknob, he peeked over his shoulder without looking at the other in the eyes.

“I’m so weary, I hope you understand. Good night!” he swung the door open, stepping inside and was about to close the door when a hand refrained him to do so.

“Can't we talk?” he asked in concern. Kame gulped, he thought he already could let it go. But in reality, he never could.

“What do you want?”

“At least let me in.”

Hesitated first, but he opened the door nevertheless, letting the other to come in to the place they ever shared together, the place which witnessed the strong, passionate love between them, back then.

“No much change right.” A chuckle made Kame irk.

“Just say what you want and please leave, Jin!” he yelled harshly. For that moment he forgot everything about manner, a thing that he always put as the priority.

“Why? Why are you so hard with me tonight?”

“And why the hell you should come over tonight?!!” he turned so that his back facing Jin, he couldn’t restrain it anymore, the tears… nearly to spill.

“I… I’ve missed you…” upon those words, the beads that was hanging on his eyes eventually fell, sliding down on his cheeks.

“Don’t you miss me, Kazu?” Jin gathered all his brave to touch the shoulder before him, which abruptly was brushed off by the younger.

“Why should you come?! Why should you appear once again?! Don’t make everything get worse after all I’ve done to kill you in my mind!!” Kame burst it out, yelling as hard as he could. Sweeping away his tears, he turned to face Jin who stilled there looking at him solemnly.

“Now you better go. I need to have a good rest!”

“What if I don’t want to?”

“I’ll kick you in the butt!”

“No you can't…”

“Hell you of course I can!”

Kame pushed Jin on the chest, forcing him to leave. Didn’t want to lose the chance, Jin clenched on those wrists and yanked him onto his embrace, burying the younger within his arms.

“Let me go you son of a b*tch!”

“You know what? I watched your performance. And as usual, you did that flawlessly…” ignoring the protest, Jin stroked on the back of Kame’s head, while the latter was struggling to be free.

“But I think you seemed to deprive of sleep, your eyes are all swollen…” he continued, lacing his fingers between the silky hair.

“Why should you care?! It’s my problem not yours! Stop poking your nose into my own matter! And don’t say that you have a pity on me, because I don’t need to be pitied by you!”

“I don’t. I do care about you, not because I pity you, but because I love you. I always watch over you Kazu…”

Kame had rendered speechless upon the cue. His vision turned misty as the tears were threatening to fall. Given up on his obstinacy and dignity, slowly he moved his hand to touch the person he longed for, a certain someone that always succeeded to cause some chaotic on his mind regardless how hard he tried to forget him and pretended that he already died. Kame cried in silence, the tears had just fall were the mixture of anger, sadness and longing. He never expected that today would happen, that Jin would come hugging him, never. Moreover, those words of love, the simple words that Jin never told him anymore since the first time they started to go out. Those words brought back memories which he already buried deep down inside, now it triggered back like the tidal wave in the sea.

Noting that Kame was a bit calmer, Jin loosened his embrace to see the face his longed for, his precious Kame that looked so tired that night. He reached out Kame’s face, cupping two sides of his face while brushing away the tears. Jin tugged a smile before leaning forward, slowly touching those pouty lips with an experimental kiss, careful to be objected. But when he realized that no intention of disapproval in it, he pressed his lips even more, and smiled inwardly as he felt Kame return his kiss deeply, more vigorously while Kame shoved him onto the wall. Jin just let him to do anything he wanted, he took it as the punishment for leaving his beloved behind. And Kame didn’t waste the chance to do that, he realized that the same moment wouldn’t repeat once again, so when he had the chance he would never let go.

“I hate you!”  Kame whispered while he broke the kiss.

“I love you too…” Jin smiled, stroking on his cheek.

. . .

Kame opened his eyes while he heard the chirpy sounds from outside, the twitter of birds signaling that the morning had come. He turned his head slightly to his side, where Jin was lying last night, deep in slumber. But that morning, he found nothing. Jin already had gone, leaving him all alone like before. A single tear rolled down his cheek, as he let his hand wander over the surface of that bed to collect the remnant warmth Jin had left. He could feel it very obviously as if Jin was still there. Closing his eyes, he recalled every little thing they did last night. He still remembered how Jin nibbled on his ears and lips, how sensual Jin’s lips and tongue wandered on his neck, pelvis and torso, and how Jin flirted him with his teeth, dragging them on his jaw line and chin. Even he still could hear Jin whispering the words of love all night long while they were burned in lust. Every time they were becoming one, Kame always assumed that it was the real meaning of eternity and how he wished it would come true, albeit he acknowledged that nothing could last forever, including their romance. He would treasure it deep down in his heart, anticipating if Jin would never come back to his side anymore. He felt so sore and weary, he was sick of his own weakness point, Jin. Everything he made and vowed himself to not doing it anymore, in an easy way it would be tore down by that person.

“Even if we're separated from each other, even if the time passes by, if we could trust each other, it would be great. What kind of tears do we have to face now?” Jin whispered those words while he began to feel drowsy in his embrace. Kame smiled realizing how silly Jin was, because it wasn’t a romantic phrase of love nor a sacred vow, it was a part of his song, Someday for Somebody…

-the end-

This is solely imagination of my own, and really the first time for me writing AKame so please I beg your pardon if you found some mistakes and incoherencies that make this fic seemingly ridiculous. The idea suddenly came up when I watched Kame’s performance  here.  Anyway, I’m gladly taking all comments and critics :)
