Xmas Part II
Tonight was Holiday Midnight Celebration Number 2 with my family. We ate SO MUCH GOOD FOOOOOOD.... ugh. I'm still full from 4 hours ago but I wanna start eating leftoverssss..... NAO! I made 2 giant trays of roasted root veggies covered in herbs and olive oil. And mom made a ham and a chicken. SO LUSH! Then we ended the meal with sparkling wine and little cakes from a local French pastry shop.
So, we had over my aunt, my cousin, my cousin's bf, my parents, and mah bf and mahself. It's the perfect group for a really fun time! All of us either work in mental health, are artists, or both. That's just how my family rolls. I love them!
The gifts were AWESOME this year! My boyfriend and I spent most of the evening exchanging the wearing of his new Rilakkuma hat and chasing each other around with the inflatable mallet that my aunt bought my mom. I told you we were all very odd.
My aunt got me the earrings on the left. They're actual origami kimonos. And the ones on the right are from my dad. XD
MWAH! Amazing! My aunt got me volumes 4-10 of DeathNote new. I wrote down that used manga was more than acceptable but she really went above and beyond. The Zombie Cross-Stitch was from mom and dad. I've just started stitching again. And the books are also from my parents. The Wehrenberg book is for next semester and the BL essay collection is for my master's thesis project. I already started reading it. It's incredible! It makes me even more anxious to get back to Japan so I can go back to Otome Road. :D
And my cousin got me a few adorable little Japanese things and a bunch of gift certificates to Kinokuniya! *moonwalks into the backyard*
I'm going to save them so I can get the VAMPS 2010 live DVD whenever that comes out.
