HE'S BACK!
I was a HUGE Fall Out Boy fan when they were around. They're still one of my number 1 bands because of the genius that is Patrick Stump. He's the lead singer, the primary songwriter, and the guy who always got upstaged by Pete Wentz's antics. Don't get me wrong, I love Pete (as I love the whole band) but I became a better bass player than Petey within 2 months of picking up the instrument. What Pete brought to FOB was his biting sarcasm, awesome poetry, and a star's persona, not necessarily musical skill. :/
Anyway, I digress. Patrick is my age and is truly a musical genius! He has been teasing us with promises of a solo album since FOB broke up at the end of 2009. And we finally have a release date! February 2011 Patrick will release Soul Punk... and it's going to be AMAZING! The first single is already on heavy rotation in my apartment. He's doing it up Prince style; writing everything, producing everything, and playing every instrument on the record. ♥♥♥
