The weekend I've been waiting for!
So, tomorrow I leave in the AM and catch a bus for NYC. I'll be staying with my aunt and enjoying an afternoon and evening in Manhattan, maybe meeting with friends and finishing up my homework for the week.
Friday AM I'll get an early start and enjoy coffee and manga before heading over to ComicCon/AnimeFest to get my lanyard. I plan on attending the opening events and at least one panel before getting in line for the VAMPS Q&A panel. After that, I'll enjoy the rest of the events including special panels on LGBT issues, artists, and characters in comics and a panel discussing the role of Yaoi/Yuri in manga. (I hope I can get some good interviews with panel members for my master's thesis!)
Then, Saturday I'll be cosplaying all day in my loving-crafted Gackt Mizerable costume! I'm SO excited to get to wear it around people! It came out so great. My cousin and I will be spending the day at Comic Con getting autographs, meeting other wonderful geeks, and enjoying the festivities. Then around 5ish, I'll scoot back to my aunt's to get out of costume and then meet a new friend for the VAMPS concert at Roseland Ballroom!
Sunday, my cousin and I might hit up Comic Con one last time if there are particularly interesting things going on. We're definitely going to Spa Castle in Queens so I can get the onsen experience that I missed out on in Japan due to being so heavily tattooed, and we'll be eating lots of J-food, as well!
It's going to be an awesome weekend!
