I'm home!!!!!
This past month nearly killed me! But I got the grades I wanted and am making a good deal of money with singing now...money is nice to have...
I had a performance or a paid rehearsal every day for 3 weeks. some days I even had 3 or 4!
Good thing my technique is keeping me healthy!
I am going to work with my bros teacher (Paul Sahuc) this summer. He has a couple basses rocking the professional world, one of them keeps singing at the met and recently filled in for Sam Ramey...I got to do a masterclass with him and he is freaking good. it is so nice to see where there is to grow (and man oh man is there)...pepperdine is becoming a relatively small pond, especially since I am the only bass there. Also, Dr. Price and Louise are great but one is a tenor and the other is obviously a woman...I think I need a bass or baritone at this point!
I order Ruckert Lieder merely for Ich bin der welt abhanden gekommen...I hope it get's here soon.
So frustrating...I had to clean the entire apartment and forgot to empty the fridge. so we might all get fined...I don't feel that bad though because everyone else left and I vaccumed and cleaned up after everyone.
F#*@ing Fernando snuck out right as I was about to and left me with the whole common area to clean after I had vaccumed his room as well as everyone elses. Thank goodness I don't have to live with that Duschebag any more.
As for Shoen (that's how he spells it) and Ben...I will eally miss them...they were a really blessing
My mom is having surgery to get a growth removed from her stomach, they don't think it's cancer but it is a possibility...please pray for her
May...gigs and working at CPC in place of my mom.
June...Summer school and Songfest in Malibu
July and August...Not sure...working with Sahuc, tuning pianos, maybe 3 weeks in Hawaii but that is expensive and there are no low voice teachers...hmm...
