Tibet
50 years ago today the Dali Lama was forced into exile. It was really only recently that I started to care about this issue, but the more I read into it, the more horrific the Chinese leadership seems and the more noble the Tibetan cause becomes in my mind.
Honestly, I have no idea what to do about it. I'm sure there's probably something. I'm going to look into it more. I would like to go to Tibet sometime in the next few years, I think. For now, I just won't forget about it or ignore it.
Maybe it makes me sound like a preachy hippie, but in light of this anniversary, maybe anyone reading this will do the same.
