Bragging!!!
I'll never catch up with the whole LJ thing.
I can at least make an effort.
I have a pretty new desktop on my computer made from one of the pictures I took a couple of weeks ago. So I am trying to move a bunch of the files off the desktop so it doesn't look so cluttered.
So here's a little bit of bragging. For all the effort I put into it you might as well say I'm bragging about learning me some Photoshop. Seriously.
But, yes, that is me shooting (and hitting {once}) skeet with a Springfield Micro Compact 1911. Years ago I had bought 20 rounds of .45 ACP-sized shotshells and had never fired any to see how they work. So when my brothers wanted to shoot some skeet in the backyard I thought I'd give it a try. Turns out they don't cycle well. (You can see in the picture that the slide didn't close all the way.) But that's OK. Since I hit the first one I shot at, I didn't need to pull the trigger again. Jeff was standing there ready to shoot after I missed. Since I didn't the two of them used up the other 9 shells in that box trying to replicate what could be nothing but luck.
Of course, the picture is as lucky as the pistol shot. I couldn't believe it when I saw the image on my computer. Now I never even have to try it again.
