Christmas break Part one
**Nothing exciting here. Overview only**
I drove to Tennessee Friday with Shana in her car. It was a little odd driving in the day time. We stopped in Knoxville to spend a couple hours with my brother, including having a bit of a late dinner of wings. Later I stopped in at my sister's new house to see it for the first time and spent the night there on the couch.
Saturday I ended up sleeping all afternoon in a recliner at my parents' house. [I'd been feeling very poorly with my throat issue (acid reflux-based) and needed the down time. Apparently when the doctor told me to stop drinking caffeine he meant it.] The really fun part came that evening though when I got to have dinner with aetherwolf at the Akropolis.
There, among other delicious things, I had the grouper. It was unbelievable. Seriously, the texture, the flavor, the sauce... It was all perfect.
Then we just wandered around at the mall. I bought a couple new ties, but mostly it was just wandering around. For added entertainment we even went to Wal-Mart at 23:00 on December 23rd. It wasn't as entertaining as we thought it might be.
Sunday my family had lunch with extended family: paternal grandparents, maternal grandfather, an aunt and uncle... Afterwards I was given something as a Christmas present that I had been promised since I was a little boy. Description and pictures later.
Christmas Day my sister and Brett came over at 06:00 for breakfast. We also opened our expected Christmas pajamas, changed into them and had our annual picture made in front of the tree. I'll see if I can get a string of them uploaded soon. They're really cute.
