Last weekend my family went to the Manakin Grill to celebrate three graduations. It is small and not a chain so of course everything on the menu had meat on it. I reluctantly ordered fish so I wouldn't be the dork who ordered 3 dishes of sides. I got my food and said, "I didn't know what curry was until now but I have been eating it quite often." Only I would be eating a lot of something I didn't know what it was.
Keith has been in Pittsburg on business all week. Monday I went to Sticky Rice with Susan and got my fill of cravings for sushi. One tasty order of carrot tempura roll had 5 pieces and I dropped the last one on the floor. I was sad. Tuesday I did some errands in Short Pump and oh god was it backed up everywhere. People drive like they're from Miami. The lights don't allow for traffic to move and people pull into the intersection and wait there and the green people can't go. They are all skinny middle aged women with blonde highlights and are talking on the phone. Torpedo launch! I hopped parking lots to get to the rest of the stores. Walmart is a scary place even in the best part of town. They have the best loofahs in the world and I got a salad spinner and splatter screens.
Then I went to Tractor Supply to see what they had. They are in the redneck part of town in Mechanicsville on the corner of Lee-Davis and Mechanicsville turnpike. They played country music in the store. They had food for bunnies, goats, cows, horses, llamas/alpacas, pigs, ducks, geese, and Chickens. They also had wire for chicken enclosures. We will probably be going there a bit. Last night I was going to clean, finish the laundry, and wrap Keith's presents but instead I ate and fell asleep and awoke to play on the laptop. Loser.
Keith's trip sounds annoying. There are a bunch of people shipped up there like a field trip and he just wants to be home. One annoying guy who I only knew his face and we were never friends said something very rude about me in front of Keith and the end of the table and Keith defended me and he is lucky he didn't get his face bashed in. Keith said he also said that he's not married yet so he's having a good time out of town. Yeah, he has a kid with that woman and lives in Waverly which is really white trash. He also won't stop talking about the trip we had to Louisiana for Katrina power hook up. That was two years ago and so many things should have happened since then more worthy of conversation. We worked at Petersburg for maybe a week at the same time. I was quitting and he was hired to take my spot. He told Keith and the dinner table that I was crying about him at work. I did no such thing. I didn't talk to anyone there and I didn't trust anyone there. I only cried two times and that was because of the mean guy in charge. Once was in front of my office mate who is trustworthy and the other was on my last day in the mean guy's office because he was yelling at me. Bill is full of crap and made me look bad in front of a bunch of my coworker friends.
One Indian guy was there and he drove his own car and brought his wife. They came to dinner one night and she walked behind and was wearing the whole covering get up and spoke to no men and made a beeline to two girls on the trip and tried to make friends. I swear if a traditional submissive Indian woman tried to make small talk with me I would say what the fuck are you doing. Get some self respect you are embarrassing yourself and all women. All women have choices so if you choose to be treated like crap then you are an idiot. All relationships should be equal and be each others' best friends in every culture. If that isn't the way it is then move away and go somewhere first world.
