Bits of idiocy before I leave -
1. For those who hadn't noticed already (and were curious), there's a picture of my new haircut on facebook.
b. I'm leaving tomorrow and I have a new cell phone - the new number is (512) 695-2555. I have it memorized already, which means I'll be able to tell people my phone number without looking it up! Hurrah! (Also, Texas number FTW!)
iii. The new phone is an iPhone. Her name is Josephine and she's beautiful, and I'm going to be taking pictures of people to show up when they call. Just to give everyone fair warning.
four.
Music Meme Remix - Short Version
What do you think of me, iTunes?
Trust - Sarah McLachlan
I know you say you love me
If what you say is true
So show me something that's not deceiving
'Cause I wouldn't lie to you
Trust issues, intimacy issues, and large helping of angst. Yeah, that's about right.
Will I have a happy life?
Runnin' Down A Dream - Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
Yeah runnin' down a dream
That never would come to me
Workin on a mystery, goin' wherever it leads
I'm runnin' down a dream
I'm taking that as a yes. Rah for following your heart! ... I just have to figure out where it's going, because I'm not sure it has any idea.
How can I make myself happy?
Troubled - Persona 3
...This is the song that plays when bad shit is happening and everyone's angsting about it. Maybe it's telling me to be proactive and use a physical manifestation of my inner self to beat the tar out of my psychological issues. (Yes, Shin Megami Tensei games are seriously fucked up.)
What should I do with my life?
Spitfire - Prodigy
If I was in World War Two they'd call me spitfire
Fire
Cause you know that I can
... Heh. Arson, apparently.
The album is called 'Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned' - this amuses me.
Do you know where your children are?
ChunJack's Theme - Okami OST
... I'll write something when I stop laughing. Plainly, the answer is NO. This song is what plays while you're escorting someone's daughter home after you RESCUE her from people who were going to EAT her. So, apparently I'm going to be cited for criminal negligence and very poor parenting.
... Either that, or I'm going to hunt down people who try to hurt my children and beat them up. That actually sounds more probable. I've been told I'm scary when I'm in a protective rage.
What do you think happiness is?
The Uruk-Hai - Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Grand symphony from a fantasy movie with elves and magic and fighting. Fuck yeah. I want to live in an epic fantasy where I kick lots of ass and have sharp things with which to battle overwhelming odds and a character shield to ensure that I don't die until I'm old.
Or until I've served my purpose to the plot.
That bit would kind of suck, actually.
But generally, the people in the Fellowship don't get offed. It's everyone else that has to worry.
So apparently, happiness is a character shield.
