There are 2 types of people in the world

Those that know Pokemon as a horribly crack-like addicting game.

And those that deride us game lovers because of some god-awful cartoon.

I'm not even gonna split hairs here and call it an anime, cause the show is a kiddy cartoon all the way. I watched a bit of it back in the day, and my family still won't let me forget it.

Well, thanks to Elsa's recent post on Facebook and the back and forth commentary on that, I became curious as to how far this game has developed, and I went out and picked up Pokemon: Soul Silver.

Omfg.....this game has gotten pretty damn complex, and a helluva lot more involved and bigger. Thanks to the DS clock you can only catch some pokemon at night and some at day. There are multiple items out there needed if you want to evolve a specific pokemon up to its next stage, and the happiness of the pokemon is also a factor. You can also now leave 2 pokemon at a daycare center, and there is a possibility of them breeding and you getting an egg, with 1 parent deciding what pokemon you get, and the other parent offering skills that pokemon wouldn't normally get. (Does it seem horribly wrong to anyone else that your pokemon are doing this sort of thing at a daycare center?!)

Anyways, new pokemon equals the stuff I was used to in Pokemon Blue x5million... Also, I need to stop giving every other trainer my phone number. Its getting worse than annoying cousin Nico in gta4...

On that note, I now go off to debate on whether to play more or to take a break and watch blu-ray of Event Horizon.
