Wouldn't that be supercute? :D I wasn't terribly impressed by the movie the first time around, but I have watched it a few times since then, and it grew on me something awful.
Thus:
Charles is Miss Hattie in this scenario. As an ex-supervillain, he is running the orphanage with the intention of finding all his orphans a loving, protective home, and if he needs to lead everyone into thinking he is an evil, child-labour exploiting, box-of-shame filling, cardigan wearing monster, well, he has the groundwork laid.
