Isn't he yummy? I mean, he's no candle to my favorite Canadian (Peter Stebbings *le-drool*), but teh hotness is there. Undeniably.
I'd never have known about the logo if my brother hadn't spotted it when he was watching my DVDs. I'm in the bathroom, and suddenly I hear this shout come from his room, "Holy shit! Rosemary, come here and see this!" And then he took ten minutes to get it rewound properly and back to the spot, and slowed it down, and freeze-frame, and there it was. The Dharma Initiative logo splat on a shark fin.
So perhaps it's an ebil killer mutant shark. Or it's a camera shark. Or perhaps its been tagged. Or maybe it isn't really a shark at all.
Or maybe, just maybe, these Dharma people are really serious about laying dibsies on their shark fin soup.
I think we have a long summer of "hmmm", "I wonder what..." and "damn it this summer is too long I want to see LOST!" ahead of us all.
I was shocked that I actually noticed the logo. I NEVER see that kind of stuff. I depend on the crazies on the internet to explain that kind of stuff to me, cause I almost always miss it!
Huh. I had totally missed the logo on the shark. And I couldn't keep up with any of the communities, so I missed any that woulda shared that. Hah. That's kinda.. hmm.
Or, could the Dharma people be mutants? Some kind of alien life that can change form from human to animal? ;)
I never would have seen it if not for my brother, and even he caught it completely by accident. Makes you wonder what other peculiar details we're missing.
actually, before the season finale, they had created a website for the hanso foundation that had all the information regarding all the projects hanso was working on. unfortunately, it seems the site has been taken down. but one of the projects was genetic research. another, electromagnetic research. another was a psychological experiment. i just think the shark was another bit of that.
i also think that the island was a huge experiment hidden by an electromagnetic field generated by the hatch so that the hanso foundation could freely do whatever they wanted without any interruption or having to explain anything to any government. this would explain why michael was told to move drive towards a particular heading (otherwise you won't leave) and why everyone else on the island seems to know what's going on except the survivors of the crash. what it doesn't explain is how everyone on that plane had a relationship with someone else unless they were tagged by the corporation in the outside world somehow.

I had figured pretty much from the moment we found out about the big-ass magnet that it probably had something to do with the crash. Of course, I thought it had crashed the plane on purpose, which doesn't appear to actually be the case.
Perhaps the cosmic PTB's are getting pissy with Hanso's little menagerie and the fates brought down the plane specifically to bring those bitches down, yo.
I still want to know why the frak the shark that attacked the raft at the end of last season had a Dharma logo on its fin.
