To ze people who commented about Poetry.com in my last entry:
Yes, yes, I know that they are trying to scam me out of all of my savings, which is why I'm not spending a penny. In their letter, they stress that I have no obligation whatsoever. The minute they tell me I need to spend money, I will back out of it. As much as I'd love to see my poem printed in a pretty book, I'm not spending $50+ to do so. I'm not as naive as I may seem at times (having a mother who was involved in the printing industry helps. She gave me a long lecture about vanity publishers yesterday, and, sadly, it's not the first time she has done so.)
I'm just excited to be published for the first time. It's something I can gloat about on college applications. Who else is going to publish the poetic works of a sixteen-year-old, honestly?
So... le shrug. Spazzin' is over for now.
