RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!
Why hello! Fancy seeing you here!!
Um didn't know what to put as a title so i just put the first t hing that came into my head! Raaaa it is then!!!
Been a few weeks since I updated, or at least it seems a lot!
At present we are in Brisbane. We first stayed here for almost a week, Katie and I got a few nights work in a bar which was, nothing great though, but its money with good tips so cant complain!
We were staying in a hostel with our travelling companions from Fraser Island, Marty and Chris, lovely lads, very funny, kept us laughing a lot!!
One of the best nights we had in Brisbane was when we were all too tired to make it downstairs for the pub quiz (Well we were on the 4th floor, its a long way!! Ok, yeah theres a lift but we're lazy ok??!) So we decided to make a quiz ourselves, boys against girls, we both thought of 10 questions to ask eachother and then swapped papers. Amazing the weird questions you can come up with! I think ours ranged from what the stretch of water called that seperates Bangor and someplace i cant remember, is called- i cant remember the answer either! That was one from Katie! To, what are the main ingredients of muesli!! Thats Kate's favourite food of the moment, it was a few days after her official muesli day where she had it for break fast, 2 muesli bars, a health smoothy with it in then dinner followed by a caramel muesli cake!! Good times!! Funny how the more times you write a word the stranger it looks, not sure if i've spelt museli/ muesli right!!
One that Katie will never live down not getting was a toughie posed by Marty- name all of the Defence of the Dark Arts teachers, in all the Harry Potter books, she couldnt remember 2!! Gutted!!! Cal, you know it? Or do i not want to know!!
Then after they beat us by one point we did a personal quiz, 10 questions on ourselves the others-had they been listening to us-would know the answer for. They actually did really well!!! And we thought men dont listen!! WE still beat them by a point though!
That was also the night we invented the game, can you get all the way round the room via bunk beds, cupboards and chairs without touching the floor- yep thats its official gaming title! I was very proud to be the first to accomplish this! Its amazing the lasting effect a game like that has on you! I now find myself looking at the possibilites of such a game each time we get a new room!! (F.Y.I- our new room this morning is NOT a candidate for such a game, its so cramped there would be no challenge- gotta have a challenge!!)
Anyway, TOTALLY, blabbering- i wonder if anyone actually read this! But its pretty safe to say that was the highlight of our Brisbane stay, pretty boring!
We then left for Surfers Paradise which is lovely. We got a 3 bed apartment in a hostel so we had our own kitchen, lounge atv, which was divine!! We spent so long in front of that tv, its amazing how much you miss not having to entertain yourselves!
We also met up with 4 guys we went to school with and i cooked them a massive sunday roast!! Was so much fun! A picture should be appearing online of that beautiful sight when i get round to it!
Slight problems with cooking that the little oven didnt appreciate being overloaded with food and everything too FOREVER to cook, plus the 'beef' we got which was labeled as beef silverside, was actually a weird ham sort of thing, so after i roasted it, it still tasted of boiled ham! Altho the men enjoyed it coz its meat! Dan bless him had 4 helpngs!!!I did tell them no one was leaving the table if there was food left though!!
Other Surfers highlights was Dreamworld theme park, where it was fantastic- it was so quiet the longest we had to queue for a ride was 10 minutes!! Nothing like Alton Towers! Also they had a ride called the giant drop where you go 38 stories high up a pole and they drop you!!! Freefalling at the speed- what rush! the worst part is when they hold you up there for about 40 seconds before you drop! Its a stunning view, but you just want it to be over!!
Also discovered there that I'm very good at rock climbing! They have a wall there and i managed to climb both the easiest wall and the hardest wall in under a minute!! Very proud!
We also played Laser Quest in Surfers, a little less high Octane but fun none the less! With Katie and I screaming a lot,givin away our location and getting our asses kicked by 2 kids! Not impressed!!!
Unfortuntely we couldnt find jobs in Surfers so we ran out of money pretty quickly so we're now back in Brisbane working for a week or so in the aforementioned bar. Boring but gotta do it!! Hoping to be in Byron Bay next week for about 3 days then on to Sydney, my last stop before I'm home for a few weeks!!!
I cant wait to come home, gonna be so much fun seeing everyone and i miss all my animals sooooo much! Also hoping to be very brown-I'm working hard at it, but coz you're surrounded by other brown ppl you never actually know how tanned you are!!
Oh yes also looking forward to being a Bridesmaid for Callum and Cathy!!! Gonna be a fantastic day!!! -Altho I'm still pissed off they're not letting me make a speech-i mean I'm eloquent right?
On that note I'm gonna wash the sand off me, have a shower and get ready for work! much love to everyone!!!
