Found out the other day that one of Little Wolf's medicines costs 760 bucks a month. We pay about $310 per year for her six meds and oxygen machine + tanks.
This is why I love paying taxes.
And that's not even mentioning all the doctors and specialists, the six weeks we all stayed in hospital with her in our own room, or all the care we got at her birth. If it's an exaggeration to say tax money saved her life - which I don't think it is - it is at least 100% true to say that taxes have let us remain safely out of debt and stress and terrible choices.
