I dreamed of a space ship, dark and alien, with a quivering string reaching out into far space, like an avian umbilical cord that went on for light years.
The master of the ship is lit from within, the skin of his back a hard, semi-transparent shell around a pulsing red-yellow light. I would say undulating, but this implies something organic, like a snake; the master is not, closer to mechanic. He is the scariest thing I've ever seen.
