Swedish Christian Democrats announce that it is time to revoke the sterilization requirement for trans people undergoing a sex change, in an astounding feat of pseudohistory:
"Many transsexuals face hatred and fear, which violates the principle of equal human worth - the guiding star for christian thought and thus for the Christian Democrats. Therefore, it is our opinion that the sterilization requirement for sex change should be revoked."
And then, at the end of the article, they rebuke those criticizing them for stalling the process by stressing the need to speak for children "in these issues."
