Still, it's only lunch yet
I have a pretty good phone voice for work-related stuff. I tend to keep my voice kinda low and even and lapse into the formal, but have that chipper infliction you get when you've worked in a café for a while. I like to think of it as friendly yet professional.
Except, apparently, when I call with the express purpose to make a good impression on people in charge of recruitment for a job I want. Then all those things go down the drain and I sound like my grandmother.
