”If you play China Girl, I will kill you.”
The man laughs, a little nervously; doesn’t take her seriously but finds her creepy. She just looks at him. China Girl does not get played.
Tot has come a long way since Tokyo.
A wind picks up as the door opens, a cold draught that touches the back of her neck and twirls the little parasol in her drink. He never could resist trying to impress her.
In the mirror he’s taller and stronger and darker. By her elbow, he hesitates.
Tot smiles and holds out her hand. Still her Nagi.
