- I bump into a man; he says "pole," I say "ursäkta." Take that, English imperialism.
- To let people and cars use the same road, they've built a tall tower of steep metal stairs that adds another 5 minutes to an already extended walk. We decide it must be part of the security check; simple blocks or pikes would be easier, but this way you get to determine who really, really wants to get in. I have yet to see a car on that road.
- Oh man, but sometimes you hear the most embarrassing things. But I wonder why they report it now if it happened in July.
Someone really didn't think straight. Note that some of those guests are school children from Ghana flown in just for this (then, presumably, brought back home).
- Said goodbye to one of the women we share office with. She leaves for Vietnam on Monday and when she comes back my internship is over. I'm going to miss these people.
