Dear Lazyweb - audio edition
Dear Lazyweb,
I'm interested in the idea of pulling the sound off a mixing board into my Mac, a Mac Book Pro.
What hardware and software would anyone suggest for getting some decent quality recording from this type of setup?
The reason? I am having wonderful ideas, based on my last post, about recording some of these gigs for $WORK and trying to get some of it on the air. Of course lots of logistics and permission needs to happen, but it's an idea. And I figure the easiest way to get the audio is either record to DAT (I think our news team would have a Marantz I could use) or to my laptop - which just seems smarter.
