Rant about Mexx
Maybe I should label this No. 1, as more rants about Animexx could follow, but I'm still hoping I won't have to go there...
Anyways. Two months ago
kao_chan and me cosplayed Zekusu and Shin from the visual kei band Akihabara Shounen - Dan Dennou Romeo and uploaded the pictures we took of ourselves on Animexx. Now, this band is still rather unknown, and the costumes we wore they had only worn at a live I was at. Aside from photos taken by themselves for their online journals, like from the shoulders upwards, there are no pictures or videos of their clothes. And now a cosplay administrator of Animexx tells me she needs a picture. So, where should I probably take it from?! This doesn't make sense!
I just hope this does not mean that pseudo-cosplay will not be allowed among the "real" cosplay anymore. As if Animexx doesn't have enough stupid rules already.
I do understand that cosplayers who put a lot of work into their costumes react somewhat bitchy to pseudo-cosplay, but where do they want to draw the line? Why can't everybody just do things their own way? *shakes head* And here I thought this was all about fun. Silly me. uû
