So this con is just a jumbled mess in my head so doing this entry has been kind of a struggle for my brain lmao but HERE GOES A GIANT TL;DR, IMAGE-HEAVY MESS
THURSDAY
So I got zero sleep the night leading into Thursday. Two people had dropped out of our hotelroom unexpectedly (something I'm still trying to figure out what do to about), all while I was trying to pack and finish my cosplay. When I woke up 4 hours later to start readying for my flight, I'd found that loveanime18 regrettably had to drop from the con too and I'm like AAAAGHHHGHGHHH but eventually dracoprncs1310 arrives and I'm on my way to the airport and just barely catching my flight. Whew.
When I got off my plane, so had balni so we immediately met up and I was like YEAH LET'S GO and proceeded to get our asses on the wrong bus to the lightrail station. The busdriver was a humongous douche to us but regardless we still made it there just fine. Some time is spent assembling my props and fiddling with costumes and meeting up with lots of my favorite people and getting Mexican food <3
Somewhere in this Jacqui has brought me a monstrous birthday cheesecake that we're all sadly too tired/uninterested in to eat at the time. We have no place to keep it so we put some ice with it in the sink. Thus, the story of the cheesecake begins.
Badge line was too long, fuck that noise I'm doing it tomorrow. napkins and Darcy end up staying with us yaay! Didn't get much sleep at all.
FRIDAY
I eventually get up and start putting on Kaito and my sexy Meiko bisouspapillon and I meander around and get some photos! Getting my badge took literally 2 seconds, I'm glad I waited.
We're eventually joined by our other Vocaloid buddies aww yeah

Chira, Darcy, and Shannon now have their own room at the Saint Claire with a fridge so I leave the famous cheesecake in their possession for now.
Went to Johnny Rockets per Vocaloid tradition and after this I was just really tired. I wanted a nap really bad but there was a Yaso dressed as Kotarou chillin in our room so I chatted it up for a bit and never really did get that nap. I was really grumpy at this point I'm super sorry guys haha. They all got into swimsuit Vocaloids and even went so far as to find me a pair of Kaito-appropriate swimtrunks but it never really happened. This con was kinda "things I want to happen not happening" con in general. But then auditoree got there AND HOLY SHIT SHE BROUGHT ME THE BEST BDAY GIFT aaaaaaah the coolest Basara totebags and a tiger Kigurumi so we could finally live our dreams of being SHINee. Everyone goes out to have fun in swimsuits while I give up on a nap and style some wigs in the room instead. Eventually change into Akira and Erika and I go hit the cgl gathering. MUCH TO MY DISMAY, THE CHICKEN WAS NEARLY GONE ALREADY. We go rehearse skit afterwards. The rest of our roomies, tenshiryuu, thisiscyrene, and Keil arrive and bring ALL THE BOOZE AND FOOD. You guys rock *A* No sleep again until at least 4am.
SATURDAY
Wake up in a tiger pile and really can I just sleep.

Was an asshole and threw money at Gamie to go buy me this beautiful fanbook, basically my only splurge of the weekend.
After some time I finally drag myself to change into the costume I'd been struggling so much over up to the con, >Basara 2 alt Date and we all are shiny samurai and go down to the Basara gathering. CLUSTERFUCK OF DATES AND YUKIS and my shoe broke, goddamnit. But that's what superglue is for, so after the gathering, Erika and I go back to the con to get some photos with Gamie, and are stopped by what felt like every asian guy and his giant camera lens. After lots of pictures we dressed down into our casual roooobes and gave darth_teca a big ol' FUCK YEAH NO MORE CANCER!! card in the artist's alley. Bumped into lots more Basaras I'd met from /cgl/ and find out they're celebrating their Oichi's birthday with some cake, and it happened to have been the same day as my birthday! PAHLEE TIME. Go do more wigstyling in room, I change into Okita and we go help Mika get into Sano and get some pictures really hella quick so we can do more skit rehearsing.

Come back to the room and then Clark brought everyone and their mom up to our room fasdkgsd. Security of course appears but was really chill about the whole thing. They were all "hey do you want us to kick 'em out for you??" and I'm like "lolno, soon as I open the door they'll all quiet down" and then our room was much emptier and quieter again.
Did I mention I roomed with beautiful people
Well I guess I'll try to actually get some sleep now!
SUNDAY
Went into Sunday knowing it was pretty much just going to be Gakuens/Masq all day. And it was. We go to dress rehearsal. I'm really nervous because lolskits. If you know me you know I have almost cripplingly bad stage fright so you can imagine I was a little neurotic about the skit being perfect (which it wasn't, lmao). But we ran into my awesome Date-buddy Lexy I'd met at ALA, who was also doing a Basara skit! I enjoy the comfort of her bosom for a bit and then we separate and go get food at Hydrations, yummm.

Come back to con with little time to spare for a photoshoot with our super awesome Keiji before we have to get our butts to masq.

Masquerade was really good. We were super ghetto and I almost blanked on some of my cues lmao

We stick around to watch the rest of the skits. I want to go to the ball afterward but I'm tired and have nothing to wear. Lexy has some drama go down and we welcome her into our room for the night.
The cheesecake has returned. We try to eat some and are shocked that cheesecake that's been in questionable conditions all weekend tastes a little funky? The epic continues.
One big happy family. Sleeptime.
MONDAY
Obligatory FFFUUU EVERYONE CLEAN YO SHIT UP WE GOTTA GET OUTTA THIS HOTEL. See Erika off to the airport, then cry saying goodbye to Gamie. Am really really sad. Finally get checked out and cleaned up and wander down to con again. Find Mika, we all go to La Vic's and Ben & Jerry's (all the while I am lugging 9/10ths of a monstrous cheesecake, argh). Get back to con, hurry to dealer's room to get the coveted tiny Kojuurou plush for Kristin with only 5 minutes to its closing. Am successful.
Find Chira and get help disposing of the notorious cheesecake. Its saga finally comes to a close and is a beautifully symbolic end to the con. Shannon and I stick to each other for the rest of the day after finding we were all on the same flight (along with Mandi, Lauren, and Becca too!). Goodbye, Fanime.

So tl;dr lots of bros and great memories. Masq eats up a person's con, I pretty much spent $60 on a badge to be in the masq since I didn't get to actually shop the dealer's hall or AA at all at any point. I also didn't get to enjoy the company of very many people very often and that was really disappointing. We really did have so many things planned that fell through (fiestas, purikura, photoshoots, etc.) but despite all this I wouldn't say I had an unsuccessful con by any means! Thanks to everyone I did get to roll with, I miss you all a lot ♥ Too many folks to name buhh this post is fucking long so I'M DONE.
