It's one of my weekends off. For those of you who don't already know, I have every other weekend off. When I don't, I work on Saturday, then have Sunday off. As far as retail is concerned, it's a decent schedule. Still, the job is stressful, and I'm really looking forward to the day that I won't have to do it anymore.
Let's see. The project car, our 1988 Mazda RX-7 Turbo II, will be having that engine dropped into it soon. I know I've talked briefly about it in my journal before, but I feel like putting in a few minor details now, just for myself. Helps me collect my thoughts, y'know? Anyway, the engine will be installed as soon as the garage who's got it has finished up their current projects. I'm hoping this week sometime, but we'll see. The engine itself is a j-spec motor, which means it was taken from a Japanese car. This generally means it has less emissions equipment, and makes a little more power. The really nice thing is that it only has about 5000 miles on it, so it should last us a good long while. After the garage installs the engine, Eddie and I will replace all the brakes and whatever else needs doing, then put it on the road.
Hm. I want to do a road trip. Go visit people, or something.
