These years of angst and torment over why America does such dumb things and makes such poor choices has been a grueling time for many of us. Alas, with the first African American president, and a Democrat, finally in office again, I am so happy. I honestly believe he will initiate the great change for the better for the U.S. and he represents a wonderful change in the American way of thinking. It is a wonderful wonderful thing and I am so happy to have voted. This is a momentous day, despite it being the 5th for me in Japan. I have a smile on my face now and all day today since the results came in. This is a great great day.

Congratulations Obama! Congratulations America!!
