I know that there is adult onset ADD, but that just means you GET it when you are an adult. Adolescent ADD is very controversial, because a lot of kids get misdiagnosed with ADHD as kids just because they're hyper or don't care about school. There's a difference between not caring about school and not having the capability to pay attention. So when these kids grow up and mature, they seem to get "rid" of the ADD, when in fact they have just matured a bit and become less hyper, and maybe realized that school is important. This is where a lot of kids diagnose themselves and say, "Yea, i have ADD because i can't pay attention." but they really just don't care.

I was diagnosed with ADHD senior year when i started therapy because i would often forget i was driving and almost run people over. AND during my IQ test i scored in the 25% in short term memory (remembering things, and being able to do math in my head) which actually means i'm mentally retarded in short term memory (amazingly, i have a kick ass long term memory for information >.>) There's a variety of things that showed i had ADHD while i was at school.

The thing is, even Coach Davis has ADD and she said that she just learned to deal with it. That's what i'm doing. I'm being forced to figure out a way to manage my ADHD because my mom refuses to refill my adderall prescriptions. It's actually starting to drive Mike insane. heh.

so you are saying i might have been misdiagnosed? i should still have it checked out and even if i do have it most people tell me lie about it and there is a good chance i can get away with it
